Book Recommendations

I love books. I could read all day, and if I couldn’t, I could talk about my favorite books all day instead. So, because I love books so much, I have some good recommendations. Here’s a list of my top books and series. None of these are in order, I love all of them equally.

  • Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. I could read his books all day, in fact, several of his books are on here. This was the first book series by him that I read, and I LOVED it. It’s so interesting and complex. There’s even a second series that follows behind in the same world. It’s truly amazing. The only thing that stops many people from reading his books is that they’re all so long. I enjoy long books, so I’m pretty biased, but his books are worth it.

  • The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. This one is probably one of the longer ones to read, as books themselves, and as a series. But the characters are all so well-written, and their stories are so complex, that you can’t but help to enjoy it.

  • Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. This book is just a single story, but it’s one of the first things I recommend to people who want to read Brandon Sanderson, but don’t know if they’ll like his writing. It’s easy to read and enjoy.

  • The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. This is a shorter series when compared to Sanderson, but they’re still pretty thick books. If you enjoy more fantasy and medivalish writing, this one is perfect for you. I love dragons, so I love this series.

  • Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. You can’t write a book recommendations list without this classic. No matter how many times I read it, I’ll never not enjoy it.

  • Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan. My favorite two of his series are the original, and the series that follows right after. I’m pretty much a traditionalist, so if you give me a series that has several sub series, I’ll most likely love it until the original characters are gone. Highly recommend this for younger audiences. It’s easy to follow and understand, and they’re not that thick.

  • Fablehaven by Brandon Mull. I love all his books, but Fablehaven and the succeeding series, Dragonwatch, are definitely my favorites. This is also a great series for younger audiences, and they’re pretty short.

  • The Skyward Series by Brandon Sanderson. This is a younger aged series, but it’s enjoyable for everyone. It’s about a female pilot, so if you like planes, or Top Gun, you’ll almost certainly love this too. It’s not too long, and is the perfect size for younger readers.

  • The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. If you enjoy fairy tale remakes, you’ll seriously enjoy this series. Each of the four books focuses on a different classic fairy tale, but it adds a new twist. Out of all the fractured fairy tales I’ve read, this one is my favorite, wholeheartedly. It’s also set in a futuristic setting, so if you enjoy that, you’ll love it.

  • Edenbrooke and Blackmore by Julianne Donaldson. I don’t normally read romance novels because of how…let’s just say personal…they can become. These two are written in what’s called a proper romance form, which means that they are totally clean and are perfectly set into the era. Any mention of anything “improper” is treated as such in the books, and is a topic that is not discussed.

  • The Dragon Slippers Trilogy by Jessica Day George. Her books are targeted towards a younger tween age group, but are enjoyable at any age. I would also recommend her Rose Legacy trilogy. Both are amazingly written and a great read.

  • The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. If you’ve looked through my website, you’ll see that I actually redid her website as part of a school project. I love her books, and I’ll continue to enjoy them no matter how many times I read them.

Those are just a few of my book suggestions. I have many more, but I do believe that this article has long exhausted many of you with how long it is. I would be happy to supply you with more book recommendations if you’ll send me an email. Happy Reading!
